Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Software Tester with 2+ years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through manual and automated testing. You will work closely with the development team to identify bugs, review requirements, and create test plans that improve the overall product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Case Creation & Execution:
  • Design, write, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
• Manual & Automated Testing:
  • Perform manual testing across different platforms (web, mobile, desktop).
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using relevant tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, etc.).
• Bug Identification & Reporting:
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues found during testing using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Collaborate with developers to resolve issues and ensure fixes are properly tested.
• Regression Testing:
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionalities are unaffected by new changes or updates.
• Performance Testing:
  • Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure the system’s reliability under high-traffic scenarios.
• Test Environment Setup:
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to set up testing environments, databases, and configurations to mirror production systems.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and communicate test results.
  • Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and review meetings within Agile development environments.
• Documentation:
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of testing processes, test results, and performance metrics.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of software testing experience (manual & automation).
• Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with testing tools like Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, Postman, and performance testing tools.
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of SQL, scripting, and familiarity with programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Methodologies: Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for identifying issues.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ISTQB or equivalent certification.
• Experience with CI/CD integration in testing.
• Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments.
